Em Downs began her musical journey in her hometown of Kentucky, where her Southern roots continue to shape her sound. Drawing inspiration from bluegrass, country, and folk traditions, Em blends heartfelt storytelling with warm, authentic melodies.

A multi-faceted performer, Em is a singer-songwriter, dancer, model, and DJ. She is an accomplished dancer whose movement-driven performance style enhances her stage presence, and she has choreographed for multiple artists, bringing musicality, creativity, and dynamic energy to every performance. As a DJ, Em curates high-energy, genre-blending sets, creating memorable experiences for a wide range of audiences. She has also worked as a model on various creative and promotional projects.

In 2022, Em graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Audio Production, gaining hands-on experience in music production, live sound, and performance. She has performed at numerous Nashville venues, including The Cobra, Whiskey Bent, Bootleggers, and The Whiskey Shot.

Em’s passion for performing began at an early age. At just eight years old, she held her first “concert” on her front porch to raise money for charity—a moment that sparked her lifelong dream of becoming a performer.

In February 2023, Em wrote, recorded, and released her debut single, “Ohio.”

Looking ahead to 2026, Em hopes to continue growing as a well-rounded entertainer while expanding her work across music, dance, DJing, and modeling. She plans to release her first EP soon.
